&lt;p&gt;Consolidated Biscuit Co. Ltd. is an established leading manufacturer of baked confectionery products and snack foods for both local and international markets. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will assume the responsibility for the Quality Assurance and Food Safety aspects of the company.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Main Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To ensure that all aspects of the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management System are implemented.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To form part of the HACCP team and play an active role in the maintenance of HACCP plans at the snack and biscuit production sites.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To ensure that all products produced on site conform with the agreed standards of food safety, quality, and legality as well as customer specific requirements.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To manage a team of Quality Assurance Assistants and ensure consistency of approach for the inspection and testing of products and processes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To ensure compliance with the BRCGS food safety standard within the site through review and assessment of pre-requisite programs and the processing environment.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Lead the investigation and root cause analysis for customer complaints.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To identify training needs of process operators and develop training modules to ensure GMP and standard procedures are clearly communicated to all staff.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To be responsible for the calibration of measuring devices, laboratory analysis and incoming raw materials and packaging checks.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To verify that housekeeping plans and cleaning schedules are adequate and effective through Hygiene Audits.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Requirements:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· A University degree in Chemistry and Biology, or an equivalent relevant degree at MQF Level 6.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Previous experience in a food production environment or in a similar role will be considered an asset but is not essential.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Be able to demonstrate good people management and organisational skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· The ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Positive and can-do attitude, proactive and able to multitask.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Have excellent analytical skills with emphasis on problem solving, attention to detail, report and procedural writing skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· A result orientated individual having the drive and flexibility to succeed in a fast-paced environment.&lt;/p&gt;

Quality Assurance Manager

&lt;p&gt;A vacancy has arisen in the Maintenance Department for a full time Machine Setter. This position is focused in the packaging area of the company.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The role:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The role of the machine setter is to set and run the machines during production according to the production plan. This person is responsible to ensure that machines are running efficiently and with minimal rejection rates. The machine setter will be required to change over the machine in the less possible time to maximise output. One would be required to make any minor adjustments as needed. Setting of date coders and auxiliary equipment within the packaging section is a must. Training will be provided. The role involves manual handling of packaging reels.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The person:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ideal person for this position needs to communicate well in Maltese and English.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must have computer skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must have initiative and able to work in a fast-moving environment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must have basic knowledge of hand tools.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must be willing to work on day shifts and on shift basis when the need arises.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Food handling Licence B will be required.&lt;/p&gt;
