&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Job Summary:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Payroll / Accounting Clerk will be responsible for preparing and processing &lt;strong&gt;monthly payroll&lt;/strong&gt;, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting general accounting tasks. This role requires precision, discretion, and solid knowledge of payroll and accounting systems.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare and process monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain up-to-date payroll records and employee files&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure payroll compliance with all relevant laws and regulations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Process statutory deductions, benefits, bonuses, and adjustments&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Address payroll-related queries from employees&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Support monthly accounting close processes and financial reporting&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide general administrative support to the finance team&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Requirements:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Good organisational and time management skills&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications namely Excel&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience as a payroll clerk, accounting assistant, or similar role&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Understanding of payroll procedures and accounting principles&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Good communication skills in English and ideally Maltese.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance will be given preference&lt;/li&gt;
