&lt;p&gt;Thomas Smith Insurance Agency Ltd is seeking to employ a &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Claims Handler (Full-time and Part-time) &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;focusing on Personal Lines especially Motor Insurance Claims.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Responsibilities:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Handle and manage allocated insurance claims from first notification to final settlement.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure all claims are registered accurately and within company defined timeframes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Review policy cover, endorsements, excesses and liability position prior to processing claims.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain accurate and up-to-date file notes, reserves and correspondence on the insurance system.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure all incoming correspondence and emails are actioned promptly.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Liaise with clients, brokers, intermediaries, surveyors, repairers and insurers in a professional and timely manner.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare and process payment adjustments accurately and within agreed timelines.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Follow up and pursue all possible recovery opportunities in accordance with company procedures.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure compliance with company procedures, principals’ guidelines and regulatory obligations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Escalate complaints, complex matters or potential fraudulent claims to management immediately.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assist walk-in clients and handle telephone calls in a professional and efficient manner.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ideal candidate will be expected to:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in local motor insurance, other classes of insurance will be considered&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Have excellent customer service skills&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Have excellent communication skills in English &amp;amp;amp; Maltese&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Have a sense of responsibility, accountability and ownership&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Process insurance claims efficiently and accurately&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain up-to-date records and documentation to support smooth operations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
