&lt;p&gt;The group currently operates across several sectors and continues to add new businesses to its portfolio. Our finance function supports both our internal group companies and a growing portfolio of outsourced accounting clients.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We are looking for a motivated and ambitious General &amp;amp; Purchasing Clerk to join our Valletta-based team. This is a hands-on position with genuine scope to develop into a more senior role as the group and finance function continue to grow.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Role&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Working closely with the internal finance team, the successful candidate will support purchasing, accounting and general administrative activities across both group companies and outsourced accounting clients.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will report directly to the Group Finance Manager.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Responsibilities will include:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Preparing and processing purchase orders;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Liaising with suppliers and following up on orders and deliveries;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Checking supplier invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Processing invoices and other accounting records;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assisting with supplier reconciliations and payment preparation;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintaining accurate purchasing, accounting and supplier records;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Supporting bookkeeping and general accounting work for internal companies and outsourced clients;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Monitoring outstanding items and resolving discrepancies;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Providing general administrative support to the finance and operational teams;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Helping improve and standardise accounting and purchasing processes;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Using AI, automation and other digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive work.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;About You&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We are looking for someone who:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Has previous experience in purchasing, bookkeeping, accounting administration or a similar role;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is proficient in both written and spoken English and Maltese;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Has experience using Sage or a similar accounting system;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other office software;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is proactive, motivated and ready to take ownership of their work;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Can manage several priorities and follow tasks through to completion;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is confident communicating with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is interested in using AI and technology to work more efficiently;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is ambitious and interested in progressing into a more senior position over time.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;a diploma or qualification in accounting or a related field is an advantage with the interest to pursue their studies further in the future.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Experience within logistics, hospitality, outsourced accounting or a multi-company environment would be considered an advantage.&lt;/p&gt;
