&lt;p&gt;Lead preparation and production of high-quality meals in a commercial kitchen, ensuring consistency, food safety, and efficient operation. Supervise kitchen staff, manage inventory, and contribute to menu planning and cost control.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Menu planning &amp;amp; recipe development:&lt;/strong&gt; Create, standardize, and update menus and recipes to meet nutritional, cost, and seasonal requirements.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Food preparation &amp;amp; cooking:&lt;/strong&gt; Oversee and participate in daily preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Kitchen leadership &amp;amp; supervision:&lt;/strong&gt; Train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate kitchen team members; delegate tasks and maintain a productive, respectful work environment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Quality control &amp;amp; standards:&lt;/strong&gt; Enforce portion control, recipe adherence, taste testing, and presentation standards.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Food safety &amp;amp; hygiene:&lt;/strong&gt; Maintain HACCP/food safety procedures, ensure proper storage, sanitation, and compliance with local regulations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Inventory &amp;amp; cost management:&lt;/strong&gt; Monitor stock levels, order supplies, minimize waste, control food costs and assist with budgeting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Equipment &amp;amp; facility maintenance:&lt;/strong&gt; Ensure proper use and basic maintenance of kitchen equipment; coordinate repairs as needed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Operational efficiency:&lt;/strong&gt; Streamline kitchen workflows, coordinate with other departments, and adapt to service volume fluctuations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Reporting &amp;amp; documentation:&lt;/strong&gt; Maintain records for inventory, food temperatures, waste, staff attendance, and other required logs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Skills and Qualifications&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Education:&lt;/strong&gt; Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or related qualification preferred.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Experience:&lt;/strong&gt; Several years of professional kitchen experience with at least mid-senior level/lead cook responsibilities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Food safety certification:&lt;/strong&gt; Valid HACCP or equivalent food safety certification.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Technical skills:&lt;/strong&gt; Strong cooking techniques across multiple cuisines, recipe costing, menu development, and kitchen equipment proficiency.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Leadership:&lt;/strong&gt; Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and maintain high performance under pressure.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Organizational skills:&lt;/strong&gt; Excellent time management, multitasking, and inventory control capabilities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Communication:&lt;/strong&gt; Professional working proficiency in English; clear, concise communication with staff and management.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- &lt;strong&gt;Physical requirements:&lt;/strong&gt; Ability to work standing for long periods, lift kitchen supplies, and work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.&lt;/p&gt;
