&lt;p&gt;We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented &lt;strong&gt;Accountant&lt;/strong&gt; to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and the smooth running of daily accounting operations across the Group.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities within the Group.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Perform monthly reconciliations including bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany accounts.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare management accounts and perform variance analysis against budgets and prior periods.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain and update fixed asset registers, ensuring correct depreciation recording.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings in a timely and compliant manner.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assist with Micro Invest and EU-funded project applications and follow-ups.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Contribute to budget and forecast preparation, providing relevant data and analysis.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Monitor cash flow movements and support treasury-related activities.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure adherence to internal controls and company financial policies.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Collaborate with auditors and provide required documentation during audits.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Skills and Attributes&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Minimum of &lt;strong&gt;5 years’ experience&lt;/strong&gt; in finance or accounting within a &lt;strong&gt;local Maltese company&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Currently in the process of obtaining an &lt;strong&gt;ACCA qualification&lt;/strong&gt; or equivalent.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of local financial regulations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Good analytical and problem-solving skills.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Proficient in accounting software and &lt;strong&gt;Microsoft Excel&lt;/strong&gt; (Power BI experience is an asset).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong communication and teamwork skills.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.&lt;/li&gt;
