Role Overview \nHeroix is partnering with a respected advisory practice to recruit an Accounts Administrator. This position is suited to an early-career finance professional seeking practical experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and compliance within a professional-services setting. The role offers hands-on accounting work and close collaboration with both finance and legal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry and Bookkeeping: Perform day-to-day accounting data input and maintain accurate financial records.
\n\t
VAT and Annual Returns: Prepare and submit VAT and annual returns in line with statutory requirements.
\n\t
Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling ledgers, accounts, and client balances.
\n\t
Month-End and Year-End Support: Support closing processes under guidance from senior team members.
\n\t
Client and Team Liaison: Work with lawyers and administrative staff to ensure the correct recording of client transactions.
\n\t
Record Maintenance: Maintain organised digital and physical records to support audits and compliance.
\n\t
Administrative Support: Undertake other finance-related administrative duties as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A-level or diploma in accounting/finance (or equivalent); candidates pursuing ACCA or similar qualifications are welcome.
\n\t
Experience: 1–2 years in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred; motivated recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate financial information clearly to colleagues and clients.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and proactive in working with teams across finance and legal departments.

Technical Skills: Comfortable with accounting software and MS Excel.
