Role Overview

The Accounts Billing Officer is responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in guest billing, and maintaining detailed financial records. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure all billable services are accurately recorded and invoiced.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t
Handling the tour operator processing: Generate invoices, manage client receipts, process commissions for agents and vendors, and maintain financial records, providing accurate financial reporting to support operational efficiency.
\n\t
Perform allocations for tour operator receipts: Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of payments from tour operators, tracking incoming funds.
\n\t
Send monthly statements and manage debt collection: Dispatch monthly financial statements to tour operators and debtors while proactively managing debt collection processes.
\n\t
Handle credit card payments and posting: Process credit card transactions, record them in the accounting system, and allocate funds appropriately.
\n\t
Perform monthly reconciliations: Complete monthly reconciliations for tour operator agents and online travel agents, ensuring financial records are accurate.
\n\t
Audit direct bookings: Conduct regular audits of direct booking transactions to maintain accuracy.
\n\t
Manage group bookings and related financial transactions:Oversee the financial processing for group bookings, including payment allocation and commission validation.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Experience: Minimum A-Level in Accounts. Previous experience in accounts billing, particularly in the hospitality industry, is an asset.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong ability to interact with internal teams and external partners professionally and efficiently.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
\n\t
Organisation: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: Driven, detail-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
