Role Overview
\nOur Client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage supplier accounts and support the finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate supplier invoicing, timely payments, and proper financial record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
\n\nSupplier Invoices: Process, verify, and reconcile supplier invoices accurately and on time.
\n\tPayments: Prepare and execute supplier payments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and payment terms.
\n\tAccounts Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
\n\tReporting: Assist in generating regular reports related to supplier accounts and expenditure.
\n\tPurchase Orders: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and track approvals.
\n\tCommunication: Liaise with suppliers to clarify invoices, resolve queries, and ensure smooth account management.
\n\tRecord Keeping: Organise and maintain up-to-date supplier files and documentation.
\n\tSystem Updates: Ensure accurate entry of supplier transactions into the accounting software.
\n\tAd Hoc Support: Provide general accounts support to the finance team as required.
\n\tQualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\nEducation: A-level standard in Accounts or equivalent.
\n\tExperience: Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in accounts, ideally with exposure to supplier management or procurement.
\n\tLanguage Skills: Excellent command of both English and Maltese.
\n\tCommunication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, professional in handling internal and external correspondence.
\n\tInterpersonal Skills: Able to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively within a team.
\n\tTechnical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using accounting software systems.
\n\tOrganisation: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks efficiently.
\n\tSelf-Motivated: Able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative.
\n\tProblem-Solving: Skilled at identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
