Role Overview \nThe Accounts Executive will manage the financial obligations of the hotel, ensuring supplier invoices are processed efficiently, payments are made on time, and vendor relationships remain strong. This role supports the Financial Controller and contributes to maintaining financial accuracy across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t
Payment Processing: Prepare creditor payment reports and process payment runs, including cheques, electronic transfers, direct debits, and standing orders, ensuring proper authorisation and adherence to cash flow requirements. Distribute remittance advices to suppliers accordingly.
\n\t
Record Maintenance: Maintain precise records of all creditor transactions and allocations, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
\n\t
Reporting and Analysis: Issue bi-weekly creditors lists, monitor missing allocations, confirm all purchase invoices are inputted, and provide insights into cash flow and expenditure patterns.
\n\t
Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely follow-up on reconciling items to support accurate supplier accounts.
\n\t
Month-End and Year-End Support: Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial audits.
\n\t
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address payment and invoice issues, maintaining positive and professional relationships.
\n\t
Ad Hoc Support: Provide assistance to the Financial Controller on various ad hoc tasks and perform any other duties relevant to the role.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: Relevant accounting or finance qualification preferred.
\n\t
Experience: 2–5 years in hotel finance or accounts payable roles.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Knowledge of Maltese is an advantage.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Able to work effectively within a team and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial regulations and hospitality compliance standards.
\n\t
Organisation: Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
