&lt;p&gt;We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AML Officer to join our dynamic team. This is your chance to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment, contributing to our company’s AML/CFT efforts while working closely with internal teams and regulatory bodies.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In this role, you will play a crucial part in AML/CFT examinations, analysing critical documentation like, Risk Assessment and AML Policies, assisting in report drafting, and ensuring compliance throughout various processes. You’ll also be involved in client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and maintaining internal registers, all while supporting the growth of junior team members. &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Liaising when necessary with the different departments within the Company and regulatory bodies on matters pertinent to AML/CFT&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assisting with the analysis of documentation pertinent to AML/CFT such as Risk Assessments, Customer Acceptance Policies and AML Policies and Procedures&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Acting as the support officer in performing AML/CFT examinations where necessary to assess compliance with the AML/CFT obligations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assisting the AML Manager with the drafting of reports of the findings identified during AML/CFT examinations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Organising and structuring examination files in line with the AML Unit’s record-keeping policy&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To monitor handle the day-to-day email of the compliance department&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To handle onboardings and on-going monitoring of clients and reviewing of due diligence&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Review of screening reports&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Attend training related to the role or any other future roles&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to become the team lead after being trained&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Monitoring of the team performance whilst adhering to internal deadlines&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assisting transaction monitoring of clients&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintaining the internal registers up to date&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To attend Board Meetings and shadow MLRO/Compliance Manager in Board Meetings&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To monitor junior officers and delegation of tasks&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To review customer files and ensure proper organisation&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To draft AML handbooks and create SOPs for any procedural changes in AML department&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Performing any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time from Compliance Manager&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to grow in the role with a clear path for progression&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Requirements:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law or criminology, banking or any other related field&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Must have a minimum of three (3) years&#039; experience in a similar role&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Exposure to areas like corporate service provider/ audit firm or banking will be considered as an asset&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to be self-motivated and take ownership in a dynamic environment with a positive, ‘can-do’ mindset.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A good command of the English language (both written and spoken)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sound knowledge of AML/CFT Laws and Regulations governing the EU and Malta&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Good report writing skills and ability to present findings in a written and oral format&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Must possess excellent analytical and investigative skills&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Independent worker with the ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Excellent organisational skills and take pride in being quality-oriented with a keen eye for detail and coming up with creative solutions&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Be approachable and an effective communicator across all levels of the business and influence key internal and external stakeholders and provide expert advice to support the strategic agenda&lt;/li&gt;
