Conduct analysis and on-site/off-site reviews of remedial actions implemented by subject persons to address AML/CFT shortcomings identified during compliance examinations.\n\t
Assess and test whether remedial actions were adequately implemented and aligned with regulatory expectations.\n\t
Participate in meetings, interviews, and follow-up visits with subject persons during the remediation process to obtain clarifications and evaluate the adequacy of their remedial action programmes.\n\t
Present findings during Supervision Committee meetings and contribute to discussions on remediation outcomes.\n\t
Draft official communications to subject persons and prepare internal reports, as required.\n\t
Support the process of determining and submitting material weaknesses to the European Banking Authority in line with EuReCa obligations.\n\t
Liaise, coordinate, and cooperate with other competent authorities, including the Malta Financial Services Authority, the Malta Gaming Authority, and the National Coordination Committee for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism.\n\t
Deliver AML/CFT training to subject persons, supervision officers, or other supervisory authorities.\n\t
Contribute to national and international AML/CFT evaluations and assessments conducted by entities such as the European Union, Egmont Group, MONEYVAL, and FATF.\n
\n \nRequirements:\n\n
\n\t
A university degree (MQF Level 6) in Risk Management, Banking and Finance, Financial Services, Audit, or another relevant field, and at least 3 years of relevant experience, \n\tOR an MQF Level 5 qualification in the above fields with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.\n\t
Strong knowledge of Maltese AML/CFT legislation, international standards, and applicable EU directives.\n\t
Experience in conducting AML/CFT-related checks, audits, or report writing, and familiarity with regulated sectors such as gaming, TCSPs, investments, or virtual financial assets.\n\t
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\n\t
Strong analytical, organisational, and report-writing abilities.\n\t
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\n
