Role Overview

The Analyst (Regulatory Governance & Anti-Money Laundering) will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing concerning behaviour to ensure a sustainable customer base. This involves actively monitoring for signs of money laundering and ensuring responsible gambling practices are adhered to in daily operations. The role includes handling account investigations, communicating with stakeholders, and supporting law enforcement as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Independently determine potential addictive behaviour: Act according to agreed procedures regarding account blocking, conducting further checks, and excluding customers.

Review and investigate daily triggered end-user accounts: Apply a risk-based approach to review accounts generated by the AML & RG Risk frameworks.

Conduct online research: Use digital public footprints to build player portfolios, assess customer risk, and identify suspicious activity.

Ownership of screening processes: Manage screening of possible PEP, Sanctions, and Adverse Media matches, including ongoing monitoring.

Draft internal reports and escalate as necessary: Prepare UAR & UAT reports and escalate to the MLRO when required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. AML & RG related courses and certifications are advantageous.

Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Additional language skills, such as Maltese, would be an asset.

Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively across various channels to gather necessary information and documentation.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Technical Skills: Understanding of gaming regulations across different jurisdictions and familiarity with AML/CFT processes.

Organisation: Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Self-Motivated: Demonstrates a proactive approach and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying and addressing potential issues related to AML and responsible gambling.
