Role Overview \nOur Client is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support the finance team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of financial operations. Key Responsibilities

Month-End Closing & Reporting: Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial results at the end of each month.
\n\t
Statutory Accounts & Audit: Assist in compiling statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance.
\n\t
Internal Controls: Contribute to the development and monitoring of internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding company assets.
\n\t
Tax Compliance: Assist in managing VAT and other tax-related filings, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
\n\t
Budgeting & Forecasting: Provide accurate data and analysis to support cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
\n\t
Accounting Policies & Procedures: Assist in enhancing and standardising accounting practices for improved efficiency.
\n\t
Team Support: Provide assistance to colleagues in the finance department and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
\n\t
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to maintain clear communication and ensure effective financial operations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
\n\t
Experience: Previous experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting.
\n\t
Professional Qualification: A recognised qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, or currently working towards one.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively liaise with colleagues and stakeholders.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
