Assistant Production Manager

Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd and Combino Pharm (Malta) Ltd form part of the Medichem group, a Spanish pharmaceutical organization which develops and manufactures both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.

Medichem specialises in active pharmaceutical ingredients, while Combino Pharm is focused on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products. The organization provides high quality medicinal substances and products for the worldwide market, with special emphasis on Europe and the US.

We are currently looking for a new team member to join Combino in Malta, for the following Assistant Production role:

Responsibilities and Functions:
· Ensuring that Production personnel are aware and operate under cGMP prescription as per current procedures and recommendations.

· Collaborating with QA in solving any issues / deviations or product-related improvements.

· Directing and coordinating production operations within company policies and procedures.

· Responsible for Performance management (Goals setting, KPIs, and appraisal of the production department).

· Ensuring that production personnel perform granulation, compression, capsule-filling, coating, packaging, and related processes (cleaning of equipment and machinery after their use, execution of the ‘In Process Controls’) whilst ensure that all activities are properly documented.

· Managing the full production cycle time, from long term scheduling of manufacturing to the final product delivery to the warehouse.

· Writing and/or reviewing Standard Operating Procedures directly related to Production.

· Collaborating with the R&D department in order to make the required personnel and machinery readily available for validation activities.

· Ensuring that production personnel are adequately trained in all the processes that are capable to perform assigned duties.

Requirements:

· Higher qualification preferably in a related field.

· A minimum of four years experience in a Production/GMP enivornment.

· Self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.

· Results oriented and will display an attitude that reflects our Company values.
