Assistant to the Financial Controller (Gozo Based)

Magro Brothers Group of Companies is a private, family-owned organization established in 1916 and operates from Gozo.

On the Maltese market it has strong presence through its Mayor, Hanini and Three Hills brands; however, it also produces Award Winning table sauces for leading International Brands in various overseas markets.

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant to the Financial Controller (Gozo Based).

Responsibilities:

• To assist the Financial Controller in his daily tasks

• Assisting in the submission of EU schemes

• To assist in the drafting and reviewing basic legal documents.

• To ensure client compliance with company laws and regulations

• Assist with the preparation and submission of corporate and statutory documents to relevant authorities.

• To liaise with banks, service providers, and other relevant entities and authorities.

• Drafting letters/emails to clients and other financial institutions.

• Managing of due diligence and compliance records.

• Preparation of Annual Returns and other statutory filings.

• Managing and organizing filing systems.

• Income and fee collection, chasing of invoices where needed.

Education and Experience

Candidates interested in this position should have attained a degree in Management together with an excellent written and spoken Maltese and English. The candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks and give attention to detail. S/he should be proficient in Microsoft applications. Candidates having a previous experience in a similar role will be given preference.
