As an Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and providing strategic insights that support the organizations goals. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Audit Engagements: Oversee and manage all aspects of audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process to foster their professional development.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify areas of potential improvement and develop effective audit strategies to address them.
- Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, presenting findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to enhance client satisfaction.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that the organization's financial practices comply with local regulations and international accounting standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and methodologies, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports that communicate findings, recommendations, and action plans to stakeholders and management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of audit activities with organizational objectives and facilitate effective communication.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role within a reputable audit firm or corporate environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable interpreting complex financial data and presenting it in a clear manner.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Leadership Qualities: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, with a strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all audit activities.
