Role Overview \nThe Business Solutions Manager will take the lead in overseeing the Software Solutions department, ensuring its performance, profitability, and alignment with strategic objectives. This senior leadership position will drive ERP delivery (primarily Odoo) while managing a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Consultants, and Developers. The role demands a strong mix of operational oversight, people leadership, client engagement, and business acumen to develop a scalable and high-performing function.

Key Responsibilities

Department Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Business Solutions department, ensuring high standards in ERP project execution and service delivery.
\n\t
Strategic Growth Planning: Define and implement growth strategies to enhance departmental efficiency, profitability, and future-readiness in alignment with the Business’s overarching objectives.
\n\t
Profitability Oversight: Manage financial performance by optimising resource deployment, delivery processes, and client-facing models.
\n\t
Team Culture & Innovation: Promote a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and innovation in ERP solutions and service models beyond Odoo.
\n\t
Escalation Management: Serve as the primary escalation point for the department, swiftly addressing challenges while avoiding unnecessary involvement of senior executives.
\n\t
People & Team Management: Provide guidance and mentorship to senior Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams, supporting professional development and fostering collaboration across teams in Malta and remote locations.
\n\t
Project Delivery Oversight: Oversee project execution to ensure scope, quality, timeline, and budget objectives are consistently met, while standardising delivery practices and improving internal processes.
\n\t
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, resolve escalations proactively, and enhance long-term satisfaction and retention through exceptional service delivery.
\n\t
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to create integrated digital transformation solutions and support joint go-to-market activities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A degree in a relevant field is required; an MBA or business leadership qualification is preferred. Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, Agile) is essential.
\n\t
Experience: At least 10 years in ERP project leadership, with 5+ years leading cross-functional teams. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale ERP programmes and business unit leadership.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic leadership style with the ability to motivate and align diverse teams towards common goals.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Broad ERP knowledge with a preference for experience in Odoo; familiarity with ERP innovation trends and delivery models.

Organisation: Capable of implementing structured methodologies and performance monitoring systems across departments.
