Role Overview \nThe Chief Finance Officer will lead all financial operations, planning, and governance within the organisation. This executive role encompasses strategic financial control, compliance with international standards, and cross-functional leadership to support the business’s operational effectiveness and growth. The selected individual will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring financial transparency, efficiency, and accountability across all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership: Oversee and manage all aspects of corporate finance, ensuring adherence to international accounting standards and financial best practices.
\n\t
Strategic Planning: Direct financial planning and control processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring of financial performance.
\n\t
Cashflow & Reporting: Manage cashflow, financial and regulatory reporting, management accounts, and statutory audits to support strategic decision-making.
\n\t
Governance & Controls: Ensure robust financial management, corporate governance, credit control, accounts payable, and bookkeeping processes are in place.
\n\t
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors, ensuring timely audits and efficient communication of financial matters.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: Master’s degree (MQF Level 7 or higher) in Accountancy, recognised by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). Must be a Certified Public Accountant holding a valid Warrant.
\n\t
Experience: At least ten years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of three years in a senior leadership role. Familiarity with public sector financial and procurement services frameworks is considered an asset.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative leadership style with proven ability to build relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Expertise in corporate finance, statutory accounting, auditing, credit control, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
\n\t
Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and meet deadlines across multiple workstreams.

Self-Motivated: A proactive individual with a high level of initiative and integrity who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
