Role Overview \nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer - CFO to lead the finance function within a dynamic and evolving business. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Act as a key advisor to the executive team and board, contributing to high-level strategy development and financial direction
\n\t
Financial Management: Oversee the full financial planning cycle including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to drive informed decision-making
\n\t
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports in line with IFRS and local regulations
\n\t
Team Development: Lead and support the finance department, promoting efficiency, accountability, and strong internal controls
\n\t
External Relations: Manage key relationships with auditors, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and tax consultants
\n\t
Cash Flow and Treasury: Monitor liquidity, working capital, and treasury operations to maintain a stable financial position
\n\t
Risk and Governance: Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adherence to audit, tax, and corporate governance standards
\n\t
Strategic Transactions: Contribute to business growth through involvement in mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring initiatives
\n\t
Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial performance reports, KPIs, and strategic insights to senior stakeholders and the Board

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A warranted Certified Public Accountant in Malta; a Diploma in Taxation or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
\n\t
Experience: A minimum of 8 years in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity Experience within manufacturing, retail, or group-level finance is advantageous
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and lead collaborative initiatives across departments
\n\t
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Maltese tax law, IFRS standards, and proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms
\n\t
Organisation: Capable of managing multiple priorities in a structured and efficient manner
\n\t
Self-Motivated: A proactive, hands-on leader with a passion for driving performance and continuous improvement
