As the Director of Communications, you will lead the marketing direction and communication strategy for our hotel portfolio, including InterContinental Malta, Holiday Inn Express Malta, and voco Malta. Your role will involve:

Leadership & Team Development: Lead, inspire, and develop a talented communications and marketing team. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to ensure team members are empowered to reach their full potential.

Strategic Marketing Leadership: Create and execute innovative marketing strategies that enhance the brand’s luxury positioning, drive awareness, and amplify revenue. You will be responsible for driving the overall marketing approach across key channels, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution.

Revenue & Brand Growth: Work closely with the revenue team to maximize occupancy, average daily rates, and F&B sales. Utilize market insights and trends to implement effective sales plans that align with financial goals and luxury brand standards.

Luxury Guest Experience: Curate unforgettable experiences for high-end guests through targeted marketing initiatives, seamless communication, and thoughtful brand storytelling. Ensure every communication reinforces the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Brand & Community Leadership: Elevate the hotel’s profile within the local and global luxury market through strategic partnerships, media relations, and high-profile community engagement. Lead initiatives that highlight the hotel’s sustainability efforts, luxury offerings, and unique experiences.

Marketing & PR: Lead special events, media outreach, and strategic communications to promote new offerings and brand initiatives. Cultivate key relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.

What We Need From You:
\r\n
\r\n
Education: A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. An advanced qualification in luxury brand management is a plus.
\r\n
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications and marketing within a luxury hotel environment, with a proven track record of driving brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth. Experience in managing teams, creating strategic marketing campaigns, and overseeing media relations.
\r\n
Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of the luxury hospitality market, local business landscape, and emerging trends. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Italian is highly desirable.

Leadership & Vision: A demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams to achieve ambitious goals, coupled with a deep understanding of the luxury guest journey and brand positioning.
