Role Overview \nThe Compliance Specialist will play an integral role within the compliance team, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks, internal policies, and international AML/CFT obligations. Key Responsibilities
\n\n

Regulatory Communication: Assist with ongoing monitoring and ensure timely reviews of all regulatory communications and filings.
\n\t
Client On-boarding: Collect, verify, and maintain due diligence documentation in line with client acceptance procedures.
\n\t
Risk Management: Conduct and review Client Risk Assessments during on-boarding and throughout the client relationship lifecycle.
\n\t
Screening & Investigations: Carry out and analyse client screening investigations, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
\n\t
Compliance Monitoring: Support the implementation of internal policies, compliance checks, and audit procedures, ensuring records and documentation are up to date.
\n\t
Cross-Department Liaison: Collaborate with internal departments to address compliance-related queries and gather necessary information.
\n\t
Training Support: Assist with the preparation and delivery of AML/CFT training for colleagues.
\n\t
Reporting: Contribute to the identification and reporting of suspicious transactions and ensure adherence to multinational AML laws and sanctions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: Entry-level AML qualifications or evidence of relevant training will be considered an asset.
\n\t
Experience: Minimum of two to three years’ experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably within corporate services or financial services.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both verbal and written, is required. Knowledge of Maltese would be considered an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in preparing reports and liaising with stakeholders.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being comfortable with independent decision-making.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, with solid knowledge of Maltese regulatory frameworks, company and trust law, and AML/CFT practices.
\n\t
Organisation: Skilled in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines efficiently.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
\n\t
Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying compliance risks and implementing appropriate solutions.
