About the Role
IDEA Consulting, the advisory arm of IDEA Group, is expanding its services into recruitment. We have supported organisations in Malta with strategy, training, funding and digitisation for over two decades, and we now want to help them find and keep the right people. We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to manage assignments for our clients from first brief through to placement, and to build lasting relationships with both employers and candidates. You will work across a range of sectors, including office and administration, professional services, healthcare and care, hospitality and retail, and skilled trades.
Responsibilities
- Client Briefs: Meet client organisations to understand their hiring needs, agree role requirements and candidate profiles, and advise on realistic timelines and market conditions.
- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage each assignment from job advertising through CV screening, interviews, shortlisting, offer and pre-employment documentation.
- Candidate Sourcing: Attract suitable candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, universities and colleges, career events, and international recruitment channels.
- Candidate Register: Build and maintain an accurate, up-to-date register of applicants in line with data protection requirements.
- Interview & Assessment: Conduct screening and competency-based interviews, prepare shortlists with clear recommendations, and coordinate client interviews and feedback.
- Candidate Experience: Keep candidates informed and supported throughout the process, so that every applicant has a professional and respectful experience with IDEA Consulting.
- Work Permits & Compliance: Coordinate documentation and support the work permit process for candidates recruited from abroad, and ensure all activity complies with Malta's employment agency regulations, including the rule that no fees are charged to jobseekers.
- Business Development: Identify new client opportunities, support proposals, and grow recruitment work within IDEA Group's existing client network.
- Partnerships: Build working relationships with educational institutions, employment services and international partners.
- Onboarding Support: Follow up with clients and placed candidates during the early weeks to support a smooth start and good retention.
- Reporting: Track and report on key metrics, including open assignments, time-to-fill, sources of hire, placement rates and client feedback.
