Duties and responsibilities

The responsibilities attributed to the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing support in drafting, reviewing, and updating contracts and agreements, and internal policies
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory documents for the incorporation of new entities
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory documents for the transfer of shares between existing shareholders or new investors
  • Being involved in the filing of statutory documents with the appropriate authorities to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Providing assistance in identifying legal risks and providing recommendations to mitigate risks, including implementing policies and procedures to enhance legal compliance and risk management
  • Maintaining a good understanding of legal developments, trends, and best practices in corporate law and other relevant areas of law through continuing education and professional development activities
  • Knowledge of maritime law would be advantageous
  • Assisting with issues relating to immigration applications and law
  • Liaising with clients, professional advisors and regulatory bodies
  • Assisting clients in company incorporation and maintenance, company structuring and restructuring
  • Conducting legal research on various points of law and providing consolidated legal opinions on queries

Experience, knowledge and skills

  • A minimum of two years of experience for the junior position
  • Experience in working in one or more of the following areas: corporate, maritime law, international taxation, or international business
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must; other languages are considered an asset
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to perform diligently under pressure

Education

  • Fully qualified with a degree in Law

Working time

Our core hours are Monday through Friday, starting time from 09:00 to 17:30, 40 hours per week with a 30-minute break daily, and we are open to flexible and hybrid working
