Role Overview \nThe Credit Controller will play an integral role within the Finance Department, ensuring the receivables ledger is maintained accurately and efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach to debtor management and collaboration across departments to support the Company’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t
Ledger Management: Oversee the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
\n\t
Invoicing: Prepare and issue invoices and credit notes in line with established procedures and timelines.
\n\t
Debt Monitoring: Track outstanding balances, identify overdue accounts, and address payment delays or discrepancies.
\n\t
Client Liaison: Engage with customers by phone and email to follow up on unpaid invoices and resolve queries.
\n\t
Payment Processing: Manage cheque and cash payments, including prompt deposits and accurate recording of transactions.
\n\t
Issue Resolution: Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues efficiently.
\n\t
Debtor Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with clients regarding receivables and provide status updates to management.
\n\t
Reporting and Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end processes related to accounts receivable and other financial reporting.
\n\t
Ad Hoc Support: Perform additional finance-related tasks as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: Minimum of an ‘A’ Level in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
\n\t
Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar finance or credit control role.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required to succeed in this role.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative approach with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficient in using accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
\n\t
Organisation: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities effectively.

Self-Motivated: Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
