Role Overview \nThe Data Compliance Manager within the Central Data Governance function will oversee compliance activities to ensure adherence to the data governance framework. This role involves defining and managing processes that enable ongoing monitoring, enforcement, and detailed documentation of data governance compliance, contributing to effective reporting and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t
Coordination and Oversight: Lead and coordinate the activities within the Central Data Governance Section, establishing robust processes to facilitate continuous compliance monitoring. Ensure accurate tracking and enforcement of compliance obligations, maintaining comprehensive records for reporting and audit purposes.
\n\t
Compliance Monitoring: Manage remediation efforts arising from data governance non-compliance, tracking issues to resolution. Develop and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility of compliance metrics and foster transparent reporting. Champion metadata management practices that align with the established governance framework.
\n\t
Strategic Input and Risk Management: Assist leadership by contributing to the refinement of the data strategy and governance framework, enhancing compliance and reporting standards. Support risk management initiatives relating to data and help identify training needs to close knowledge gaps within the organisation.
\n\t
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to assess and manage significant changes impacting data governance frameworks, data sources, and related systems, with particular attention to regulatory requirements such as RDARR. Support coordination of the Data Council to foster governance alignment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: MQF Level 6 Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
\n\t
Experience: Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Information Management, with at least 4 years specialising in Data Management or Governance, demonstrating successful project involvement within business or IT domains. Previous experience within banking or financial services is desirable.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is essential.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage and liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and data owners.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative team player, flexible and able to work independently under pressure, with a commitment to continuous learning.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata management, RDARR principles, and regulatory requirements such as BCBS 239. Proficiency in compliance tracking, dashboard creation, and audit documentation.
\n\t
Organisation: Highly organised with excellent time management and planning skills.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: Proactive, detail-oriented, confident, and capable of working unsupervised.

Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to manage and resolve data governance compliance challenges effectively.
