Role Overview
\nThe Deputy Head of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR function, ensuring the effective management of talent, compliance, and employee relations within the manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Head of HR, this role will oversee HR operations, drive strategic initiatives, and enhance organisational performance through best HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
\n\nHR Strategy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
\n\tHR Operations Management: Supervise HR operations, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
\n\tCompliance & Regulations: Ensure compliance with local employment laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
\n\tIndustrial Relations: Manage industrial relations and liaise with stakeholders to maintain a collaborative work environment.
\n\tEmployee Well-being & Inclusion: Lead initiatives for employee well-being, diversity, and inclusion.
\n\tWorkforce Planning & Retention: Develop and implement policies for workforce planning and talent retention.
\n\tPayroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll, compensation, and benefits administration to ensure fairness and competitiveness.
\n\tChange Management: Support change management efforts and drive continuous improvement in HR practices.
\n\tEmployee Relations: Act as a key point of contact for HR-related issues, providing guidance to employees and management.
\n\tQualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
\n\tLegal & Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of employment laws, industrial relations, and HR best practices.
\n\tLeadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
\n\tMultitasking & Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple HR functions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
\n\tTechnical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
\n\tStrategic & Hands-On Approach: A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
