&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Job Summary:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt; We are looking for an experienced and committed &lt;strong&gt;Designated Person Ashore (DPA)&lt;/strong&gt; to ensure that our company meets international safety standards and complies with all maritime safety regulations. As the DPA, you will act as the primary shore-based contact between our vessels and the company’s management, ensuring effective communication and oversight of all safety management systems.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Act as the key point of contact between vessels and shore-based management for safety-related issues.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Ensure that the company’s &lt;strong&gt;Safety Management System (SMS)&lt;/strong&gt; is effectively implemented, maintained, and compliant with the &lt;strong&gt;International Safety Management (ISM) Code&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Monitor vessel operations, safety reports, and risk assessments, and provide guidance for corrective actions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reviews of SMS procedures both onshore and aboard vessels.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Facilitate communication between shipboard personnel and management to address safety concerns and implement preventive measures.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Ensure the company&#039;s emergency preparedness and response protocols are adequate and regularly tested.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Provide continuous support to captains and crew on safety procedures, emergency operations, and compliance matters.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Bachelor&#039;s degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· 2 years of experience in the maritime industry, preferably in a safety or compliance-related role.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· In-depth knowledge of the &lt;strong&gt;ISM Code&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;SOLAS&lt;/strong&gt;, and other relevant maritime safety regulations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively between ship and shore.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Experience in managing a Safety Management System (SMS) is preferred.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage risk and think critically under pressure.&lt;/p&gt;
