&lt;p&gt;The Falzon Group of Companies is a fuel energy provider, supplying a vital service to local and international companies through oil bunkering, fuel distribution, waste oil management and terminal operations. SL Shipping Management Company Limited, a company within the Falzon Group of Company,  is looking for a DPA to join its marine division.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Act as the primary contact between ship and shore for safety and pollution prevention matters&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure that all company vessels comply with international, national, and local maritime regulations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Responsible for the development,  implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s safety management system on company vessels&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to verify compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide guidance and support to the ship&#039;s crew on safety management and pollution prevention&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Investigate incidents and non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Facilitate effective communication and co-operation between shipboard personnel and shore management&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The role involves both land-based tasks and duties on vessels-in-transit.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Role Requirements&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Knowledge of :&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;National and international shipping regulations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Classification society surveys and audits&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;International safety management code&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;TMSA criteria&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Master, Chief Officer or Chief Engineer’s certificate, or be either a Naval Architect or a Marine Engineer&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;ISM, ISPS and MLC Lead Auditor Certification&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 years working experience in the maritime industry&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Skills and competences:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Very good verbal and report-writing skills in English and Maltese&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
