Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, materials, equipment, and, where required, personnel. The role includes ensuring that deliveries and collections are completed according to schedule, maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition, and complying with all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods, materials, equipment, and personnel to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Plan delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Ensure goods are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy, and compliant with legal requirements.
- Ensure vehicle licences, insurance, and other documentation remain valid.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and basic warehouse duties when required.
- Comply with road traffic regulations, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid driving licence C
- Clean driving record.
Skills and Competencies
- Safe and responsible driving practices.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good spoken and written English. Knowledge of Maltese will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to work independently.
- Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading goods where required.
Working Conditions
- Primarily field-based with regular travel throughout Malta.
- May involve lifting and moving materials.
