About This Job
An exciting opportunity for an Electro-Mechanical Technician is available within our Engineering Department. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to provide support to business units by maintaining equipment in top condition. This shall be achieved by implementing engineering maintenance routines such as break-down maintenance repairs, total productive maintenance methodology and other structured engineering support tools.
Key Activities:
- Ensure that repairs and maintenance is carried out to highest quality, within the shortest time frame and right first time
- Scan the status of the machine on the OEE monitoring system.
- Need to be trained and able to manoeuvre using equipment such as fork lifters, stackers and motorised/un-motorised elevated platforms.
- Needs to ensure all necessary permits to work are in place before and after working in an area.
- Needs to be able to read and interpret schematic and general arrangement diagrams as per specialisation field.
- Takes part in the installation of equipment and infrastructural systems.
- Ensures a safe and healthy workplace, including the promotion of the environmental, health and safety standards, integrated management systems and any other relevant initiatives.
- Completes work dockets and associated systems for ease of breakdown reporting and logging of faults.
What we are looking for:
- MQF 4 level in mechanical/electrical or any other engineering field or higher.
- Experience in repair and maintenance
- Fluent in English
- Well versed in the use of well-known office applications, e.g. Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven fault-finding capabilities, in all fields of mechatronics, i.e. electrical, electronics, IT and mechanics.
- Preferably in possession of Enemalta Licence B.
