Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd and Combino Pharm (Malta) Ltd form part of the Medichem group, a Spanish pharmaceutical organization which develops and manufactures both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.
Medichem specialises in active pharmaceutical ingredients, while Combino Pharm is focused on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products. The organization provides high quality medicinal substances and products for the worldwide market, with special emphasis on Europe and the US.
We are currently looking for a new team member to join Combino in Malta, for the following Engineering Technician role:
Responsibilites:
•Performing and documenting all the preventive maintenance as per the preventive maintenance schedule on production equipment and utilities.
•Performing and documenting all the corrective maintenance interventions required on production and other utilities equipment.
•Supporting the Engineering Supervisor (Production) in maintaining the effectiveness and functionality of all equipment and utilities.
•Performing any in-house calibration on production and utilities equipment as per the defined calibration programs.
•Supporting any subcontracted technicians during calibration done on equipment.
•Executing any equipment qualification protocols as required.
•Providing all the required support to the Production Department during setup of equipment for production runs.
•Ensuring that all the spare parts used throughout interventions are documented in the appropriate system so that spare parts can be replaced.
•Ensuring that the mechanical and electrical safety features of all equipment are always effective and functional.
•Performing cutting and welding operations (hot works) when required.
•Maintaining premises, utilities and production machinery areas to the highest standards possible to ensure that the machinery and environment are kept clean and free from any risk or danger.
•Providing support in the current and ongoing departmental projects.
•Assisting in the pest control routine treatment of the plant whenever necessary.
The Position Requires:
•Relevant technical qualification from MCAST or equivalent and/or in possession of Electrical Licence A or B.
•Minimum of two years experience as Technician or in a similar position.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
•Ideally have experience working in a GMP environment but not strictly a requirement.
•Good computer literacy and command of MS Office Applications.
