Role Overview \nThe Events Business Development Manager will be responsible for maximising hotel revenue through the strategic sales of weddings, conferences, and banqueting events. This role involves managing the full event sales cycle, from lead generation to post-event follow-up, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the wider commercial objectives of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth: Maximise hotel revenue and profitability through the effective sales of weddings, conferences, and private events.
\n\t
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, handling inquiries promptly and professionally while ensuring a personalised and attentive service experience.
\n\t
Sales Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and event data on Opera Systems, ensuring all bookings, reports, and communications are properly recorded.
\n\t
Event Coordination: Liaise with internal departments including Reservations, Revenue Management, and F&B Operations to ensure event requirements are met seamlessly.
\n\t
Market Development: Identify and develop business opportunities within assigned markets and segments to increase the hotel’s visibility and sales performance.
\n\t
Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular forecasts and performance reports, contributing to the annual marketing plan and sales strategy.
\n\t
Knowledge of Product: Maintain full knowledge of all banquet facilities, menus, pricing, and contractual terms to effectively sell and manage event spaces.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A qualification in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred.
\n\t
Experience: Previous experience in event sales, hospitality, or conference and banqueting management is essential. A proven record of successful negotiations and event delivery will be highly valued.

Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in another European language would be an asset.
