We are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Manager to join an aviation company which is a joint venture between Bianchi Group of Companies and a leading global airline.
The Finance Manager will be leading the finance operations, conduct in-depth financial reviews, and focus on operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, while streamlining financial processes to optimize control and business performance, and effectively communicating with key stakeholders
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing operational financial leadership, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting and accounting functions;
- Supporting and guiding the team in Malta for swift and accurate decision-making;
- Overseeing all accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with the industry standards;
- Maintaining banking relationships and managing outsourced financial functions;
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets;
- Conducting variance analysis, financial modelling, and cost optimization initiatives;
- Leading, budgeting, forecasting, and managing the cash flow processes;
- Preparing and presenting financial statements, operational reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management;
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and aviation industry-specific financial requirements;
- Coordinating external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors;
- Driving continuous process improvements, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and financial reporting capabilities; and,
- Supporting strategic decision-making with financial insights, business case analysis, and risk assessments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the aviation or transportation industry;
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA designation preferred;
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes;
- Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements in Malta;
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance, tax reporting, and audit coordination;
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights; and,
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
