We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer. This role involves overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the iGaming industry, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to financial management.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute month-end procedures, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports.
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and inter-company statements, including loans.
- Oversee weekly payment runs and invoice payment schedules.
- Ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of invoices to payments, liaising with suppliers, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Manage reconciliations with multiple payment service providers.
- Calculate, prepare, and submit VAT returns and gaming tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
- Assist with external audits and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and support.
- Perform other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the finance department.
Key Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA qualification (or in the final stages) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Experience in the iGaming industry or fintech is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with VAT, gaming taxes, and inter-company transactions.
- Familiarity with external audits and financial reporting.
