
About This Job
Lead daily front-of-house and operations to deliver an exceptional cinema experience. Supervise staff, ensure operational efficiency, maintain safety and compliance, and support management in achieving commercial and customer service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Team Operations: Schedule, train, coach, and mentor cinema attendants, ushers, box office and concession staff; manage shift handovers and ensure consistent service standards.
- Customer Service Excellence: Resolve guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally; monitor auditorium presentation, seating, and cleanliness to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Operational Management: Oversee ticketing, concessions, and cash handling procedures; coordinate film/programme scheduling, pre-show checks, and projection/AV support as needed.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety, emergency and licensing procedures; conduct routine safety checks, incident reporting, and staff briefings on compliance matters.
- Performance & Reporting: Monitor KPIs (sales, attendance, concessions), prepare shift reports, and support management with insights to improve performance and profitability.
- Inventory & Facilities: Manage stock levels for concessions and retail, conduct inventory audits, and liaise with vendors and maintenance for timely facility upkeep.
- Recruitment & HR Support: Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance reviews and disciplinary actions in line with company policy.
- Shift Flexibility: Work evenings, weekends and public holidays; cover shifts and act as point of contact in manager’s absence.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a customer-facing hospitality, retail or entertainment environment (associate level).
- Communication: Professional working proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership & People Skills: Proven ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, and deliver training that improves service quality.
- Operational Competence: Familiarity with POS/ticketing systems, cash handling, and basic AV/projection awareness preferred.
- Organisational Abilities: Strong time-management, multitasking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Compliance & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health & safety regulations and emergency procedures; ability to enforce standards consistently.
- Availability: Flexible to work onsite across varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
