Gaming Regulatory Advisor

The Gaming Regulatory Advisor will play a pivotal role within the team, primarily responsible for providing expert guidance on gaming compliance and regulatory matters. They will contribute to a fast-paced and evolving environment, supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients. The Advisor will report directly to the Head of Regulatory Affairs.

Main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor both local and international regulatory compliance scenes, reviewing developments within the regulatory environment.
  • Liaise with prospective clients, outlining the optimal operational set-up for their requirements and act as a regulatory consultant in terms of regulatory changes and compliance demands.
  • Manage the submission of various applications, including new licence applications, and liaise with clients in relation to the preparation of due diligence materials, business plans, technical and operational policies, procedures and outsourcing agreements.
  • Maintain a portfolio of clients, meeting respective requirements, demands and expectations.
  • Address day-to-day queries from clients on issues relating to gaming regulatory compliance and regulations.
  • Ensure clients remain compliant with regulations emanating from both MGA, and international regulatory bodies, as applicable, and that regular reporting obligations are adhered to and ensure that regular reporting obligations are met.
  • Act as a point of contact with the MGA, and other supervisory bodies on behalf of the client, to respond to such queries in a timely and detailed manner. Liaise with clients to address any identified gaps in information.
  • Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the gaming industry or a similar role is advantageous but not essential, provided the candidate demonstrates a strong interest in the sector as training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Proactive and collaborative team player.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple clients and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in research, with a particular focus on legal developments shaping rapidly evolving industries.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) in Commerce, IT, Finance, Law, or a related field; or a Professional Certificate in Gaming or Compliance.
