Role Overview \nWe are seeking a Head of Digital Governance & Transformation to lead the design and implementation of governance frameworks, drive data management excellence, and support digital transformation initiatives. The role will ensure ICT resources are strategically governed, data is managed securely and compliantly, and digital tools such as Microsoft Power Platform are effectively leveraged to boost efficiency, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n
\n\t
ICT Governance and Policy Development: Establish and maintain ICT governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL) that enhance IT service delivery and ensure compliance with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
\n\t
Risk Management and Compliance: Conduct IT risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee incident response plans while ensuring adherence to GDPR and other applicable standards.
\n\t
Data Governance and Quality: Implement policies to safeguard data accuracy, security, and consistency across systems; conduct audits and maintain robust data quality controls.
\n\t
Digital Transformation and Power Platform Management: Drive the adoption of Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and enable low-code/no-code solutions that align with governance standards.
\n\t
Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership: Engage with internal teams and external partners to ensure digital initiatives meet business needs, provide mentoring to IT staff, and promote best practices in ICT governance and data management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, recognised by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC). Candidates without the required academic qualifications but with at least ten years of experience in the field will also be considered.
\n\t
Experience: At least five years of proven experience in ICT governance, data management, and/or digital transformation. Certifications in IT governance (e.g. COBIT, ITIL) are considered advantageous.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is essential. Knowledge of Maltese would be considered an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical concepts in clear terms and influence decision-making across the organisation.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Skilled in fostering collaboration and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and in-depth understanding of ICT governance frameworks and data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR).
\n\t
Organisation: Strong ability to establish structures, policies, and processes that enhance efficiency and accountability.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: A proactive leader with integrity, drive, and the ability to set high professional standards by example.

Problem-Solving: Experienced in identifying vulnerabilities, developing solutions, and implementing improvements to protect IT assets and data integrity.
