Responsibilities:

\nThis role involves managing complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and leading a team of tax professionals to deliver high-quality advisory services to clients or the business.
Develop and implement the direct tax strategy aligned with the company’s overall financial and business objectives.
\n\t\n\tProvide expert guidance on direct tax planning, compliance, and risk management.
\n\t\n\tStay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization or clients.
\n\t\n\tOversee the preparation and review of direct tax returns and filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
\n\t\n\tAdvise on corporate tax, capital gains tax, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, tax treaties, and other direct tax issues.
\n\t\n\tProvide tax-efficient structuring advice for mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other corporate transactions.
\n\t\n\tAct as the primary point of contact for senior management, tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors on direct tax matters.
\n\t\n\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
\n\t\n\tRepresent the organization or firm in tax audits, disputes, and negotiations with tax authorities.
\n\t\n\tLead, mentor, and develop the direct tax advisory team to enhance technical capabilities and performance.
\n\t\n\tManage resource allocation and ensure timely delivery of tax advisory services.
\n\t\n\tFoster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the team.
\n\t\n\tIdentify and mitigate tax risks through proactive advisory and compliance measures.
\n\t\n\tEnsure robust tax governance and controls are in place.
\n\t\n\tPrepare reports and presentations for senior management and boards on tax risks, opportunities, and compliance status.
\n\t\nRequirements:
\n\nChartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent professional qualification in taxation.
\n\t\n\tMinimum of 2 years of experience in direct tax advisory, preferably in a leadership role.
\n\t\n\tDeep knowledge of direct tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
\n\t\n\tExperience working with multinational companies, handling cross-border tax issues is an advantage.
\n\t\n\tProven track record in managing complex tax projects, audits, and disputes.
\n\t\n\tStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n\t\n\tAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
