The Head of Risk Advisory will oversee the risk management advisory services, lead a team of specialists, and manage high-level consultancy projects. &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Leading risk management advisory projects&lt;/strong&gt;: Oversee and lead risk management projects, conducting risk assessments, providing outsourced risk and DPO functions, thematic reviews, gap analysis, and policy remediation.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Managing a specialised unit&lt;/strong&gt;: Take charge of the Risk Advisory division, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring smooth delivery of services.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Coaching and mentoring&lt;/strong&gt;: Provide guidance and mentorship to existing and new team members, helping them grow within their risk advisory roles and fostering a culture of continuous learning.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Engagement in client consultancy&lt;/strong&gt;: Lead consultancy engagements, particularly in risk management, data protection, ESG, and related fields, ensuring clients receive tailored advice to meet their unique needs.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Business development&lt;/strong&gt;: Identify new opportunities in risk consultancy, pitch services to new industries, and engage with existing clients to expand the range of services provided.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications&lt;/strong&gt;:&amp;nbsp;﻿A university degree or an equivalent qualification in finance, banking, business, economics, accounting, risk management, or a closely related discipline.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;﻿Experience:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;A minimum of 8+ years experience within the financial services sector, with at least 5+ years in a risk management, compliance, or similar advisory role.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Language Skills&lt;/strong&gt;: Fluency in English is essential, with the ability to communicate in Maltese considered advantageous.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Communication Skills&lt;/strong&gt;: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Interpersonal Skills&lt;/strong&gt;: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Technical Skills&lt;/strong&gt;: Extensive knowledge in risk management, particularly financial risks (liquidity, capital, credit, market) and non-financial risks (operational, compliance, IT security). Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Organisation&lt;/strong&gt;: Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Self-Motivated&lt;/strong&gt;: A proactive individual with a drive for excellence and a strong work ethic.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Problem-Solving&lt;/strong&gt;: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and develop strategic solutions to mitigate challenges.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
