This role involves managing payroll processes, maintaining employee records, and supporting various HR operations. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and a solid understanding of HR policies and payroll systems. \n \nKey Responsibilities \n\n

Payroll Processing: Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salary calculations, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
\n\t
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, social security contributions, and other statutory requirements.
\n\t
Payroll Queries: Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
\n\t
Records Management: Maintain payroll records and generate required reports for internal and external audits.
\n\t
Accounting Entries: Post payroll records in accounting journals and make necessary accrual calculations.
\n\t
Reporting: Prepare and submit required monthly reports.
\n\t
Audit Support: Assist in audits and ensure proper documentation for compliance purposes.
\n\t
Employee Records: Create and maintain employee files, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
\n\t
Employee Lifecycle Management: Process employee engagements and terminations.
\n\t
Attendance Management: Oversee leave management, employee clockings, and attendance systems.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting, or a related field.
\n\t
Experience: Proven experience in HR and payroll roles.
\n\t
Payroll Software: Experience with payroll software and HR management systems (previous experience working with Indigo Payroll will be considered an asset).
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong ability to address payroll queries and liaise with employees at all levels.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of payroll processes, labour laws, and statutory compliance.Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
\n\t
Organisation: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
\n\t
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
