Role Overview
The Human Resources Executive plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources Manager while overseeing key areas of HR operations, particularly recruitment and training. This position involves planning and implementing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labour regulations, and fostering a supportive and structured work environment. The role requires balancing day-to-day HR functions with long-term initiatives that enhance the overall performance and culture of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Training: Oversee recruitment, appraisal, and training processes while supporting the design and implementation of training needs analysis.
\r\n
Strategic Support: Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager on workforce planning and HR initiatives that align with the organisation’s goals.
\r\n
Policy Development: Review, develop, and implement HR policies while ensuring compliance with changes in labour legislation.
\r\n
Performance Management: Plan and coordinate annual performance reviews, forecast hiring needs, and manage relationships with external entities such as Jobsplus and Identity Malta.
\r\n
Operational Oversight: Ensure departmental deadlines and daily HR operations are met, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain an organised HR structure.
\r\n
Employee Support: Act as a point of contact for staff and managers regarding HR policies, compensation queries, and labour regulations.
\r\n
Health and Safety: Support health and safety initiatives in collaboration with the Group Health and Safety team.
\r\n
Reporting: Monitor HR targets, prepare reports for management, and track departmental KPIs.
\r\n
Culture and Inclusion: Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the organisation.
\r\n

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\r\n
\r\n
Education: A degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
\r\n
Experience: Previous experience in an HR role with exposure to recruitment, training, and policy development. Experience within the care or healthcare sector will be considered an asset.
\r\n
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\r\n
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with staff at all levels.
\r\n
Interpersonal Skills: Approachable, empathetic, and capable of building trusted relationships across the organisation.
\r\n
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of labour law and HR systems, with the ability to draft and implement HR policies.
\r\n
Organisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively, and maintain structured processes.
\r\n
Self-Motivated: Proactive and able to take initiative in driving HR projects and improvements.
