Issue detailed quotations for self-pay clients\n\t
Follow up on quotations to confirm surgery bookings or otherwise\n\t
Coordinate with Operating Theatre Nursing Officer regarding theatre case bookings\n\t
Book theatre cases based on theatre, surgeon, and anaesthetist availability\n\t
Contact patients booked for surgery and explain the admission pathway\n\t
Provide reminders to patients regarding admission times and fasting requirements\n\t
Inform patients about revenue settlement (self-pay or insured) and highlight any shortfalls to be settled prior to admission\n\t
Enter data accurately into the Hospital Information System (HIS) for preparation of theatre lists and patient bookings\n\t
Issue patient bills accurately and in a timely manner, in line with quotations or insurance agreements\n\t
Ensure referral forms, quotations, insurance correspondence, and medical reports are attached to the patient record on the HIS\n\t
Remind surgeons and anaesthetists of procedures planned for upcoming surgery days\n\t
Liaise with wards/units regarding patient admissions and transfers\n\t
Process letters and reports, and correspond with colleagues, patients, specialists, and third parties\n\t
Retrieve and print patient schedules, data labels, and admission forms from HIS\n\t
Ensure all required billing documents are prepared and follow up on any pending medical reports\n\t
Follow up with insurance companies regarding guarantees of payment or outstanding matters\n\t
Attend all mandatory company training sessions\n\t
Work in accordance with all safe working policies and procedures\n\t
Keep the Manager informed of any issues or problems and perform other duties as assigned within the department\n
