Key Responsibilities

Audit Execution: Lead and execute audit engagements in alignment with the annual audit plan, ensuring thorough coverage and appropriate testing.

Process Evaluation: Analyse business processes by conducting interviews with management, reviewing documentation, and understanding workflows and internal controls.

Audit Planning: Develop tailored audit programmes that align with defined scopes and effectively assess the organisation’s risk exposure.
\n\t
Reporting: Compile comprehensive audit reports that communicate findings clearly and propose practical recommendations for improvement.
\n\t
Team Supervision: Mentor junior audit staff, review their work, and provide guidance throughout each audit assignment.
\n\t
Follow-Up and Monitoring: Conduct follow-up audits to monitor implementation of recommendations and assess continued compliance.
\n\t
Ad-Hoc Assignments: Support the unit in ad-hoc projects or tasks and respond to internal requests requiring audit input.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\n
\n\t
Education: A degree in Banking & Finance, Financial Services, or an ACCA qualification.
\n\t
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an audit-related function, whether internal or external. Experience in banking operations will be considered an asset.
\n\t
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\t
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
\n\t
Interpersonal Skills: Capable of building strong working relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
\n\t
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Familiarity with auditing techniques and frameworks.

Organisation: Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and work according to deadlines.
\n\t
