IT Systems Administrator

Medichem Manufacturing (Malta) Ltd and Combino Pharm (Malta) Ltd form part of the Medichem group, a Spanish pharmaceutical organization which develops and manufactures both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms.

Medichem specialises in active pharmaceutical ingredients, while Combino Pharm is focused on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products. The organization provides high quality medicinal substances and products for the worldwide market, with special emphasis on Europe and the US.

We are currently looking for a new team member to join Medichem in Malta, for the following IT Systems Administrator role:

Responsibilities and Functions:

· Responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues in the technology infrastructure.

· Ensuring that the IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

· Setting up and managing user accounts and workstations.

· Troubleshooting network and PABX related issues.

· Responsible for IT asset management.

· Managing and troubleshooting aspects such as IT system crashes.

· Acting as a systems administrator for Quality Control and production equipment which includes backup tasks were applicable and necessary.

· Solving issues involving the Empower and NuGenesis network.

· Responsible for administration of licences.

· Managing external suppliers and the local IT budget.

· Supporting in the managing of the server rooms and server related equipment.

· Supporting users on-site or off-site with any IT related queries.

· Maintaining existing applications and give user support on information systems.

· Providing technical and functional consultancy in corporate document management and in other corporate business applications.

· Providing technical and functional consultancy in all ERP business areas.

· Participating in the implementation of new projects related to IT within the department and company-wide.

· Actively collaborating in business computer security related initiatives.

Requirements:

· Diploma or University Degree in Computer Engineering.

· Proven experience as a Systems Administrator.

· Experience with computer hardware, networks and computer security systems.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

· Ideally have experience working in a GMP environment but not strictly a requirement.

· Self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.

· Results oriented and will display an attitude that reflects our Company values.

· Able to work independently and in a team environment.

· Extremely organised.
