Role Overview
\nHeroix are seeking a motivated and skilled IT Technician to join our Client's team and provide technical support to clients. The successful candidate will work closely with senior IT staff to maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems. A strong understanding of operating systems, hardware components, and network protocols is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
\n\nIT Support: Provide day-to-day IT and desktop support via telephone, email, remotely, or on-site.
\n\tInstallation & Configuration: Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
\n\tSystem Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, printers, servers, and other network equipment.
\n\tUser Assistance: Respond promptly to user requests for technical assistance and resolve issues in line with established procedures and SLAs.
\n\tSoftware Support: Offer end-user support for software applications, including email and communication tools.
\n\tDocumentation: Document all technical support activities and update the knowledge base as needed.
\n\tQualifications, Skills, and Attributes
\n\nEducation: IT-related diploma or higher certification is desirable.
\n\tCertification: A+ IT Technician certification is preferred but not mandatory.
\n\tExperience: 1–2 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
\n\tLanguage Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\tTechnical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems, computer hardware components, troubleshooting techniques, and Microsoft Office.
\n\tCommunication Skills: Strong ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
\n\tInterpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service.
\n\tOrganisation: Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
\n\tSelf-Motivated: Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team.
\n\tProblem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve IT issues.
