The Malta office serves a portfolio of international clients investing in or through Malta, with a strong focus on holding companies, e-commerce, banking, shipping, and international trading. \n\nThe Junior Accountant (International Clients) will play a key role in supporting the accounting and corporate compliance requirements of international clients. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic team while gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and client relations. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in international accounting practices and a strong desire to develop their skills in a collaborative environment.
\n\nBookkeeping & Accounting Support: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records.
\n\tCompliance & Reporting: Support the preparation of management accounts, annual financial statements, and tax returns.
\n\tVAT & Tax Filings: Assist clients with VAT return preparation and submission, ensuring compliance with regulations.
\n\tClient Interaction: Liaise with international clients and stakeholders, including banks, law firms, and accounting professionals.
\n\tFinancial Administration: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and corporate governance requirements.
\n\tEducation: In the process of obtaining an accounting qualification such as ACCA or an advanced diploma in accounting.
\n\tExperience: Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within an accounting or corporate services firm.
\n\tLanguage Skills: Excellent command of English is required. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
\n\tCommunication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with international clients.
\n\tInterpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
\n\tTechnical Skills: Proficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with accounting software such as Xero is considered an asset.
\n\tOrganisation: Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload efficiently.
\n\tSelf-Motivated: Proactive attitude with a keen interest in professional development.
\n\tProblem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to find practical solutions to accounting challenges.
