In this role you will be responsible for ensuring high level of compliance and operational risk control in accordance with the regulatory standards and policies. The role is contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Legal & Compliance department and supports its overall strategy and objectives. You will also lead and support key projects and initiatives. The Junior Legal & Compliance Manager also leads and supports key projects and initiatives; engages with and influences key internal and external stakeholders providing expert advice to support the strategic agenda.

Advise the organisation on regulatory compliance requirements it is subject to by way of operating in or from a particular jurisdiction.
\n
Be a subject leader and drive the Organisation’s compliance obligations in multiple areas including but not limited to Anti-Money Laundering, Safer Gambling, Consumer Rights, Data Protection.
\n
Construct and maintain frameworks for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly by maintaining a record of policies and procedures
\n
Maintain and develop the company-wide compliance training programme framework
\n
Organise the compliance training programme to ensure all relevant training is scheduled for the calendar year
\n
Assist with the functioning of the relevant Committees
\n
Any other task/responsibility which may be related and/or connected to your role as Junior Legal and Compliance Manager.

Who and what we are after?

Exposure to the main EU / EEA gaming jurisdictions and regulators and particularly the Malta Gaming Authority
\n
Understanding of the main regulatory frameworks such as Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection, Safer Gambling, Consumer Rights

Experience with drafting regulatory policies and procedures
\n
Genuine interest in compliance an willingness to learn
\n
Be approachable and an effective communicator across all levels of the business and influence key internal and external stakeholders and provide expert advice to support the strategic agenda.
