Saybolt Malta, a member of the Core Laboratories group, is seeking a Petroleum Laboratory Operator to join its laboratory in Kalafrana, Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in laboratory work to develop a career within the petroleum testing industry. As part of the laboratory's ongoing investment program, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with newly installed state-of-the-art analytical equipment and the latest testing technologies used in the petroleum sector.
The selected candidate will perform routine testing of petroleum products, operate laboratory equipment, prepare samples, record results, and maintain laboratory quality and safety standards. Full training will be provided to suitable candidates.
Qualifications and Skills
- Secondary education to ordinary level standard; science subjects will be considered an asset.
- Applications from motivated candidates with no prior laboratory experience are welcome, as full training will be provided. Previous laboratory experience is considered and asset.
- Good command of English (minimum C1 level).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work accurately and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Willingness to work on a shift basis and, when required, during weekends and public holidays on overtime.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work with modern laboratory technologies.
- Valid European driving licence and own transport.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Malta and preferably already residing in Malta.
