About This Job

The Maintenance Duty Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and monitoring of all maintenance operations within The Eden Entertainment Centre. This includes bowling, arcade, laser tag, karaoke rooms, digital escape rooms, digital darts, kitchens, bars, HVAC systems, and all supporting infrastructure.

The role focuses on ensuring high operational standards, preventive maintenance execution, and efficient team performance, while maintaining a safe, functional, and guest-ready environment at all times. The role has a supervisory element, however, the candidate is also expected to be hands-on and actively perform operational duties.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor The Eden maintenance team on a daily basis.
  • Allocate tasks, follow up on progress, and ensure timely completion of works.
  • Ensure team productivity, discipline, and adherence to SOPs and company standards.

Operational Maintenance Oversight

Oversee maintenance across all Eden facilities including:

  • Bowling lanes and equipment
  • Arcade machines and VR systems
  • Laser tag arena
  • Karaoke rooms
  • Digital escape rooms and darts
  • Kitchens and bars
  • HVAC systems (including AC cleaning schedules)

Ensure all areas are maintained in optimal working condition at all times.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Plan, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules across all equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure all preventive works are completed on time and according to structured checklists.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting of all preventive maintenance activities.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Support the team in diagnosing faults and identifying effective solutions.
  • Take a hands-on approach.

Coordination & Communication

  • Maintain clear communication with the Operations Manager and other department Managers.
  • Coordinate maintenance works to minimize disruption to operations and guest experience.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and contractors when required.

Monitoring & Control

  • Monitor the use of tools, equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Ensure proper stock control and organization of maintenance stores.
  • Assist in identifying required parts and materials for efficient operations.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas at all times.
  • Support compliance with internal and external H&S requirements and audits.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure all works (corrective and preventive) are properly recorded.
  • Maintain logs, checklists, and maintenance reports.
  • Provide regular updates on ongoing works, issues, and completed tasks.

Requirements & Profile

  • Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably within entertainment, hospitality, or similar environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Ability to lead, organize, and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards and compliance requirements.
